As an event coordinator, you will belong to the Operations Support section located within the HR and IT department. The section consists of several teams that, in addition to events, meetings, and training, also work with preparation support, case coordination, and departmental administration.

Being a meeting place for municipalities and regions is of great importance for SKR, and we annually offer a rich selection of conferences, training, and seminars for our members. SKR provides both larger events and conferences as well as digital or physical training in a variety of areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The demands for both the format and the range of training and meetings offered have changed rapidly in recent years, and we continuously work on developing our working methods and digital conditions to meet our members' needs. As an event coordinator, you are expected to actively contribute to refining our current working methods and processes and realizing our vision of being a world-class meeting place.

You will work with coordination and/or project management of various types of events, meetings, and training - from start to finish - in consultation with the responsible officer and manager in the organization. This includes everything from advising and guiding on format and execution, coordinating meetings and negotiating with suppliers, being responsible for bookings and contact with external conference facilities, as well as continuously handling questions from participants and clients, to receiving visitors on-site, ensuring the event's implementation, and finally being responsible for evaluation and follow-up as well as invoicing. For digital meetings, you are also expected to contribute with technical understanding of the digital tools we use.

The work is varied and primarily involves ensuring that the event is carried out according to plan in a professional and smooth manner that provides a value-creating experience for participants. This places high demands on being able to quickly adapt and be prepared for unexpected events, as well as staying one step ahead and keeping calm when facing challenges. For the right person with a pronounced service ability and a creative mind, this is a role that contributes to job satisfaction and rewarding collaborations with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a post-secondary education in project management, event production, or equivalent that the employer finds comparable. We want you to have several years of experience from similar roles, with an emphasis on project management of various types of large and small projects. It is of great importance that you have very good system skills, technical understanding, and an intuitive ability to grasp new systems. You also need to have economic awareness and an understanding of budgets, costs, revenues, and efficiency from an economic perspective.

We would prefer that you have experience working in some form of meeting/booking platform, preferably InvitePeople. If you also have experience in procurement and purchasing as well as practical knowledge in safety and crisis management, we consider that an advantage.

As a person, you are service-oriented, self-driven, and structured. You plan and prioritize your work effectively and are quick to adapt to new and unexpected situations. Since we often work in teams, we believe you are an unpretentious team player who sees the value in succeeding together. You are good at creating and maintaining relationships and have an innovative working approach, bringing creative solutions that can be implemented in practice and lead to successful results.
