Join Nestlé Nordic – We are looking for the Power of You

Do you have a great interest in animals and solid knowledge in animal nutrition and how to drive profitable businesses? Are you also self-driven, engaged, and want to work with consulting towards various stakeholders while having a commercial drive? Great, then you could be our new Veterinary Advisor at Nestlé Purina Petcare.

What is it like to work at Nestlé Purina?

Nestlé Purina PetCare is a leading manufacturer and marketer of pet food and treats for cats and dogs with over 125 years of experience. Around the world, Nestlé Purina PetCare offers products that provide advanced nutrition to ensure a long and healthy life for pets. At Nestlé Purina PetCare, we believe that people and pets are better together, and our purpose is to create a richer life for pets and the people who love them.

As a Vet Advisor, we offer you a varied, fun, and developing job, where you become part of an engaged team that puts the animal at the center of everything they do. You will have a large external network with customers and an internal network with colleagues and will work with leading brands. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge for consulting and training both towards clinics and colleagues, thus contributing to better animal health. We are dedicated and passionate and work to develop both in relation to clinics, towards end consumers, and with ourselves. Our culture is characterized by openness where each individual contributes with their knowledge. You will be an important part of driving our future development. At times, the work pace can be high, but we emphasize the importance of a good work-life balance.

Your role

In this role, you will primarily work towards clinics, which means broad collaboration with veterinarians and other experts in the animal field. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Visiting clinics and maintaining good relationships with existing customers and jointly driving sustainable sales growth through campaign and product development work
  • Providing training and information on nutritional management for various medical conditions, as well as the importance of optimal nutrition for healthy dogs and cats
  • Helping veterinarians and other experts feel confident in recommending Purina’s food to pet owners and understanding how nutrition can play a role in improving the chances of a long and healthy life
  • Visiting potential new customers, building relationships, and contributing to creating profitable growth
  • Assisting with professional input to our sales team to increase competence in nutrition and our products
  • Participating in relevant events and occasions

In this role, you will work from home, and we believe you live in Stockholm or nearby, western Mälardalen, or Östergötland County. You will have a local area as well as 1-2 areas further away, where you can expect some overnight stays from time to time. The team consists of eight other colleagues, and you will report to our Nordic Clinic Excellence Lead.

We are looking for the power of you

To fit in this role, we believe you have a strong interest in animals and thrive in a role where you get the chance to spread knowledge that can contribute to better animal health. As a person, you are engaged, skilled at communicating, and capable of reaching out with your message to various people. You are comfortable presenting material to different groups and have a curiosity to learn new things. Furthermore, we see that you are trustworthy, relationship-building, and have a commercial interest and a good business understanding.

Your Experience

To succeed in this role, it is a requirement that you have excellent knowledge in animal nutrition or nutritional science. This knowledge comes from relevant education at the college or university level in animal nutrition, veterinary nursing, or nutritional science, preferably combined with practical experience. We prefer that you have worked in an animal clinic or held a similar role in animal health in another organization. You have at least two to three years of relevant professional experience. Additionally, you have documented experience in driving profitable businesses together with customers. This means that you have worked with business development, consulting, or sales where you have actively contributed to the customer's success and profitability.

You also need to:

  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Hold a valid driver's license (B)

Your competence and expertise in animal nutrition and sales will contribute to executing the strategic direction for our broad customer portfolio, and you will become a key player in expanding both our customers and product portfolio.
