The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Social Services sector includes four operations: Special housing for the elderly/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, regular housing/personal assistance, and disability services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a staff member in home care, you work closely with people and provide support in each person's daily life. You perform care and support work for care recipients in their own homes, a personal and varied environment. This can involve everything from walking to personal care, as well as cooking and performing health and medical tasks by delegation. You primarily work independently, but some tasks you do together with your colleagues. To move between different care recipients, you use a bicycle or car.

As a staff member in the short-term unit, you provide daily assistance to care recipients who have temporary or recurring needs for help and support in a residence. This can involve everything from a walk with good company, administering medication, to providing rehabilitative assistance so that the care recipient can return to their regular home. Your contributions provide security and meaning for our elderly residents in the municipality.

Working hours are varied and scheduled. You can work both day, evening, and weekend shifts. We also have night shifts. Exact times vary depending on where you will be working.

The job also includes documenting in our operational systems within the respective area of operation.

Working within social services means that you perform care and support measures according to the Social Services Act and, by delegation, perform measures according to the Health and Medical Services Act.

You will receive a good introduction with shadowing, all to create security for you when you perform your tasks with us this summer.

We are hiring continuously during spring and early summer and offer varying degrees of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and respects the individual's right to self-determination. The individual's needs are central, and it is important that you are there as a support and do not take over what the care recipient can do themselves. Your support should contribute to participation in society. As a person, we expect you to be empathetic and have a sense of when to step forward or hold back; being attentive is important. You have personal maturity, high integrity, and a professional and respectful approach that always strives for the best possible meeting. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You have the ability to work both independently and closely with colleagues or relatives, which means you are adaptable and flexible in your approach.

To work within the operations:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Have a B driver's license; a B driver's license is not a requirement for the Short-Term Unit.
• You should master the Swedish language in speech and writing; additional languages are an advantage.
• It is advantageous if you are a trained nursing assistant.
• Before an employment offer, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented.

It is advantageous if you are in training/educated as a nursing assistant or educator, or have work experience in care and support.
