Description

We are looking for a psychologist for Taubeskolan and Bräckeskolan! The position is a fixed-term employment that will last for the entire next school year.

Taubeskolan is a relatively newly built F-6 school with about 350 students and over 35 staff members. Bräckeskolan is located between a lush forest area and a residential neighborhood. At Bräckeskolan, there are grades from preschool to grade 6. We have about 60 staff members for our 500 students at Bräckeskolan.

Responsibilities

As a psychologist at our schools, you will be part of the schools' student health team together with the principal/deputy principal, special educator, counselor, school nurse, and school doctor. Together, we primarily work preventively and promote student health, development, and learning with your psychological expertise. The principal is responsible for leading and directing the work of student health. You will participate in the schools' EHT meetings on a weekly basis.

Common tasks for you as a psychologist include:

• supervising individual teachers or teams
• providing training for other professionals in relevant areas, such as mental health
• conducting various forms of individual assessments and investigations
• assisting in the development of action plans
• collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, such as guardians, healthcare providers, and authorities outside the school like BUP.
• facilitating SIP meetings and leading them when necessary.

Within the School Administration, you will participate in a network with psychologist colleagues, PLA, and professional developers. The group meets regularly for collegial support, training, supervision, and professional development. If you are new as a school psychologist, you will also receive a mentor.

For the parts of your work that fall under the Health and Medical Services Act, there is a quality management system and methodological support in place. There is also a local PLA for support and training on issues related to patient safety.

The position has a scope of 75-100%, distributed between Taubeskolan (30%) and Bräckeskolan (45%). The assignments are defined in relation to a specified scope. The role is partially flexible and may involve more time at each school during certain periods. You will be part of both schools' student health work and will participate in the schools' student health team. The role includes investigations related to questions about adapted primary school and meetings with guardians to assist in seeking care, such as BUP. Both schools are characterized by good collaboration, which may mean you are part of group supervision in class along with other student health functions. You will also receive professional development and supervision together with other school psychologists in the Hisingen school area.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. Experience working as a psychologist in a school setting is an advantage. Experience in supervision, consultation, as well as assessment and evaluation is also beneficial.

You have the ability to listen to others and are responsive to their needs. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from the equal value of all and create a good atmosphere in meetings. You easily adapt your working methods based on changing conditions and new information.
