The Rescue Mission is a non-profit organization that has been conducting social work based on Christian values since the early 1950s through about 30 different activities. We dream of a city where no one is left behind. Where all people can live a dignified life.
We are now looking for someone who wants to start working as a treatment assistant at Styrmansgatan's psychiatric residence together with us towards our vision; a dignified life for all!
Styrmansgatan's group home Styrmansgatan is a group home that offers support and care for adults with mental disabilities. There are 12 apartments for individuals with LSS and SoL decisions, and we are staffed around the clock. We are a residence where the residents stay despite greater physical care needs.

Treatment Assistant at Styrmansgatan We want to create good conditions for the residents and work habilitatively. Therefore, we are looking for someone who sees the importance of meeting people at eye level, enjoys good collaboration with colleagues, and above all wants a meaningful job!
Job Responsibilities:
Be responsible for care and support in daily life based on the resident's needs.
Case management together with a colleague for 2 of our residents.
Continuously work with social documentation.
Simple cooking in the evenings and weekends for the residents.
Collaboration with outpatient care.
Qualifications: We are looking for someone who believes in every person's right to a dignified life and who:
is a nursing assistant/caregiver or has education that the employer deems equivalent.
has experience with residents with various forms of mental disabilities.
has worked in psychiatry, comorbidity, and with somatic difficulties.
has a genuine interest in the target group and wants to contribute to a good quality of life for our residents.
is accustomed to working in a low-arousal manner and meets our residents and colleagues with goodwill and respect.
has a good ability to express and formulate oneself in speech and writing.
has a good ability to work pedagogically around common goals and methods based on the individual’s implementation plan.
has read and shares the Rescue Mission's value base and wants to follow our codes of conduct through respect, warmth, and dignity.
As a person, you are secure and stable, with the ability to take responsibility for your tasks and can handle relationships and tasks in a professional manner. You have the ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings. When circumstances change, you adapt and manage the situation with a focus on the right things by listening and prioritizing. You are a team player who finds it easy to convey and receive messages.

Meritorious: We consider it meritorious if you:
have worked in a group home.
have had delegation in medication.
experience with MI.
have training in and have worked with low-arousal responses.
have a B driver's license for manual transmission.
Employment Conditions Employment Type: Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period. Extent: Full-time Working Hours: Varying according to schedule day, evening, and weekend. Start Date: April 13, 2026, or as agreed. Collective Agreement: We are affiliated with the employer organization Fremia and apply Vision's collective agreement “Health, care, and other care”.
