About the Position

As an Accounting Economist with us, you will have a central role in the finance function where you work with everything from ongoing accounting to year-end closing and are responsible for both common and varied tasks within the finance department.

You will work closely with the CFO and other colleagues while independently driving the accounting processes forward and contributing to development and efficiency. The role involves extensive work in Excel and ongoing reporting in English, which places high demands on both analytical ability and language proficiency.

There is also an opportunity to develop within project controlling and work more closely with project follow-up and profitability, as well as contribute to the development of relevant IT systems and reporting tools for the position.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ongoing accounting and quality assurance of bookkeeping
• Monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Account reconciliations and accruals
• VAT and tax declarations
• Preparation of financial reports and summaries in Excel, in English
• Participation in project follow-up and gradually increased responsibility in project controlling
• Involvement in the development and efficiency of financial processes and IT systems
• Contact with auditors and authorities
• Support to the CFO in financial analyses and development projects

You report directly to the CFO and the location is Kalmar.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in finance or accounting and at least a couple of years of experience in qualified accounting work and year-end closing. You are used to handling large amounts of data and analyses in Excel and feel comfortable reporting and communicating in both Swedish and English. You have an interest in – or experience with – project controlling, are system-oriented, and want to develop further in finance and project accounting.

As a person, you are self-driven, meticulous, and responsible. You are good at communicating and structuring your work. You enjoy working both independently and in a team.
