Care Assistant at Wadköping Home Care
Hello there! Are you also a self-driven team player who wants to join an experienced group? With us, the work is varied and rewarding! We strive for a good work environment where you can thrive. We are also a workplace in development and change - we have just moved to new, beautiful premises where we will develop new working methods and work towards a more digital home care service. Would you like to be part of that journey with us? Then you are warmly welcome!
About the Position
As a care assistant with us, you will work with the most meaningful task we know; supporting people in their daily lives in their home environment. Our focus is on utilizing each individual's own abilities and resources.
You will be welcomed by a team of other care assistants, nurses, nursing aides, and occupational therapists. All with the same main purpose, namely to be there for those we support. You will have a special responsibility for your clients based on your role as a designated care contact, but all staff share a common responsibility to ensure the work maintains good quality and that we follow the guidelines and decisions that come with the assignment.
We are proud of the shared values that permeate our care work. All employees work from a rehabilitative approach where the client is at the center. The client's needs, resources, and wishes should guide the goals for rehabilitation.
Examples of Tasks:
- perform care tasks and, based on delegation, some medication management
- perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- plan and develop the work independently and together with the team
- establish and follow goal plans, routine descriptions, and action plans together with the client
- collaborate with relatives and others in the client's network, such as nurses and occupational therapists
- document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
- be a designated care contact and establish and follow up on implementation plans
About the Workplace
Wadköping home care is located right next to the green oasis Stadsparken, a calm and pleasant area. We move towards the central parts of Örebro and have cycling distance to all clients. With us, you will have about 40 colleagues in the unit.
We have recently moved to entirely new premises in Hälsokvarteret Wadköping. In our newly built care and nursing hub, we gather health care-related activities, home care, and educational activities in shared premises. Starting in 2027, Hälsokvarteret will also include a new special accommodation. We are consolidating the activities to create conditions for close collaboration, opportunities for new working methods, and an increased focus on person-centered care. As an employee, you will be part of an organization that works in a team-based manner and utilizes all employees' combined competencies. Together, we create the future of home care!
