Who are we?

The Payroll Unit is part of the Human Resources department in Norrköping Municipality and consists of about 60 colleagues. We strive to be a cutting-edge HR organization that challenges traditional working methods. The mission of the Payroll Unit is to ensure that the correct salary is paid out on time, as well as to provide support and good service to managers and payroll reporters in the areas of payroll administration, system management, training, and pensions. We maintain a close dialogue with managers and payroll reporters throughout the municipality.

Through trust-based management and governance, responsibility is delegated, and you as an employee are encouraged to engage in dialogue and participation. It is important for us to utilize your knowledge and development potential.

Within the Payroll Unit, there are three workgroups: two focused on payroll processing and one within systems. The groups have different areas of responsibility but collaborate and support each other across boundaries. In total, we are 20 employees, and our workplace is located at Slottsgatan 118 in Norrköping, near the travel center. With us, you have the opportunity to work remotely to some extent.

We are now looking for two colleagues who want to work this summer as payroll consultants and become an important part of the service function at the Payroll Unit.

Your tasks

In the role of payroll consultant, you will be part of the team that handles case management in our line 1 function. We support and serve our managers and administrators/reporters in payroll-related matters via both the case portal and phone.

This includes, among other things, registering employments and payroll data, conducting checks during the interim period, and reporting after payroll runs. All of this takes place in the payroll system Heroma.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has completed post-secondary education in the payroll area or equivalent work experience, or preferably has started studies to become a payroll specialist/payroll administrator. We would like you to have worked for a few years in a service profession and are positive if you have experience working in a case management system.

To thrive in the role of payroll consultant, you enjoy providing service and building good relationships. Your ability to communicate is both clear and tailored to the recipient.

You work well both in a team and independently, and your ability to structure and organize your work is strong.
