Your Role

As an Occupational Health Engineer, you will play a central role in our strategic and operational work on occupational health within the organization to ensure and maintain safety and health for every employee - today, tomorrow, and in the future.

At a high level, the work includes the development and implementation of strategies, guidelines, digital solutions, and improving the internal regulations within the occupational health area. The role also includes working with competence-enhancing activities to ensure that we develop within systematic occupational health work, for example by supporting managers in their delegated responsibilities for occupational health. Together with the team, you will contribute to creating well-being and safe workplaces.

Common tasks in the role:

• Work independently, drive and implement occupational health measures, educate and support operations.
• Functionally lead the systematic occupational health work.
• Develop and implement strategies for systematic occupational health work.
• Prepare, update, and improve internal guidelines and documentation.
• Be part of a cross-functional occupational health team focusing on physical work environment within production, collaborating between Occupational Health, Environment, HR, and our safety organization.

You enjoy structure and problem-solving and take responsibility for shaping your tasks within the occupational health team's functional responsibilities. To thrive in the role, you are driven and communicative with good pedagogical skills. You have an interest in and experience in guiding others.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Occupational Health Engineer education or equivalent education/experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Experience in occupational health work within industry and production with in-depth knowledge of occupational health legislation.
• Good pedagogical skills and experience in educating and supporting managers.
• Experience in risk and opportunity assessments, analyses, root cause analyses, and action plans.
• Driver's license and the ability to travel between different workplaces in Sweden.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Experience in ISO 45001 and occupational hygiene measurements is a merit.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
