With increased interest in our products, there is now a need to recruit more people who can contribute to delivering our high-tech products to our customers. Therefore, we are expanding our operations by recruiting additional technical project managers for our product areas Land and Marine in the Development Department. The location can be either Karlskoga or Karlstad.

Job Description

In this role, you will coordinate the technical development work within projects by working closely with your project team, which includes designers and systems engineers – all with the aim of contributing to a high-quality delivery to the customer through good collaboration. The position is located in the development department, product area Land.

BAE Systems has a distinct project culture where all customer orders are driven as projects. As a technical project manager, you therefore have an important role, where your ability to collaborate with internal resources is a prerequisite for success in the projects.

Your responsibilities include

  • Leading and driving the development work in projects, which includes planning and distributing tasks.
  • Being responsible for the creation and follow-up of the timeline.
  • Being the cohesive force in the technical work and ensuring that the project team's work functions and develops.
  • Ensuring that customer needs are translated into technical requirements, system solutions, and design documentation, as well as verified and documented.
  • Following up and reporting progress in projects to business project management.
  • Clarifying resource needs in dialogue with resource-owning line managers.

Travel may occur in the position, primarily within Sweden, but there may also be international travel.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with interest and experience in technically complex systems. You have a university degree in a technical field or a military background and relevant experience in technical project management.

You have good knowledge of both Swedish and the corporate language, English.

To succeed in this role, you need to be self-driven with a strong drive and an ability to take initiative. Flexibility and the ability to solve problems with structure are crucial. Your confidence as an individual and leader is important, and you recognize the significance of good communication to engage your team. Integrity is a given for you, and you are brave enough to make decisive decisions.

Information and Application
