We are now looking for residential support workers to join our team at Solängen Training Residence in Färjestaden and Vassmolösa Children and Youth Residence. We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference!

Solängen Training Residence is located just south of Färjestaden and is an LSS residence aimed at young people aged 15-21 who have a diagnosis within the autism spectrum. Solängen Training Residence is situated in a beautiful environment with access to its own pool and proximity to a private beach. Vassmolösa BoU is an LSS residence aimed at young people aged 13-18 (or as long as the youth is in school) who have a diagnosis within the autism spectrum and/or intellectual disabilities. The residence is located 23 kilometers south of Kalmar in a village called Kvarnlyckan. Here, you are close to beautiful nature. In both establishments, we work individually based on Nytida's pedagogical framework (read more here) which is based on low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). The working method is individualized to ensure that each young person has the best conditions for quality of life, participation, self-determination, and meaningfulness. With calm, security, and structure, we support the youth in using their strengths and embracing their interests. We are small teams that work closely together, where collaboration among colleagues is the starting point.

About the role As a residential support worker, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with your colleagues, you will work towards making the day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks will also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, sleeping on-call, and awake night shifts.

Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have at least a high school education in healthcare and social care, social work, pedagogy, or another equivalent education. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. You possess a B driver's license.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our youth's best interests in mind in everything you do.
