We are looking for

We are looking for a biomedical technician who will work with service and maintenance of sterile technical equipment such as autoclaves and washer disinfectors. A suitable background could be education in electrical engineering, control and regulation technology, or experience in service work with products that involve electricity, air, or water. It is advantageous if you have previous experience with sterile technical equipment and/or work in operations with clear quality requirements. We prefer that you have good experience working in Windows and Office as well as at least a completed high school education. Good knowledge of Swedish and English and a valid driver's license (class B) are required.

You are comfortable in patient care environments, where you demonstrate good judgment and act and communicate in a considerate manner. You are used to planning and executing your work independently, you are structured and orderly but at the same time flexible when conditions change. You are strategic, able to prioritize, and can see the big picture. You are also a problem solver who enjoys customer contact and engages in both IT/MT support and the best interests of the customer.

What you will work with

Our operations have the management responsibility for sterile technical equipment, which involves everything from procurement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and finally decommissioning. You will book and plan your workdays together with your team. You will perform annual preventive maintenance (FU), validations, and corrective maintenance (AU). It includes handling and documenting work orders and inventory in our system. You will actively participate in the work of developing our operations in close collaboration with healthcare. You will also need to consider the various regulations that govern the operations.
The unit MT Närstöd Sunderby Hospital is part of the IT/MT support area that delivers daily IT and MT operations to Region Norrbotten's various healthcare operations. You will work in a team specialized in sterile technology.
The team's mission is to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the hospital's sterile technical equipment in close collaboration with the operations.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position with start date according to agreement. Travel is commonly required in the position.
Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
