Team Leader for the Authority Unit - Children and Family

The unit consists of a unit manager, 3 team leaders, and 27 social workers. We are now looking for a team leader for authority, investigation, and reception.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide, lead, and coach employees in their daily work.
  • Stay updated on current BBIC handling.
  • Distribute cases within the team and have an overview of current workload.
  • Be an extra support in difficult and complicated cases.
  • Conduct development work together with the unit manager.
  • Present cases before the SU, if necessary together with case handlers.
  • Present cases in Administrative Court and Administrative Court of Appeal.
  • Together with the unit manager, ensure that internal and external collaboration works.
  • Together with the unit manager, monitor legislation, methodological issues, and precedent-setting court cases.
  • Plan and organize external supervision.
  • Assist in the recruitment of new employees.
  • Ensure that new employees receive orientation and, together with the unit manager, plan staff development.
  • Assist the unit manager with workplace environment issues.
  • Make decisions according to applicable delegation.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained social worker or have equivalent education that is assessed as equivalent according to Chapter 25, Section 1 of the Social Services Act (2025:400). You have good knowledge of legislation and authority exercise as well as some experience in authority work with children and youth. You have strong communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to analyze complex problems, see the long-term significance of issues and their consequences, and adjust your actions accordingly. You see opportunities in changes and contribute new ideas and approaches to the organization’s issues. You view the organization from a holistic perspective, can connect the whole and the parts, future and present. We want you to be able to take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You also have the ability to independently structure your work and prioritize among tasks by focusing on the right things when there is a lot happening around you.

Your employee participation is closely linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in your and the organization’s development. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and quality through customer and service focus. We apply background checks (extract from the criminal record) as a form of suitability assessment for all who are offered employment in activities where there is direct and regular contact with children and youth.

A driving license (B) is a requirement.
