Description

In your role as a team leader, you will work in the Department for Adult Authority and Functional Support. You will work in a team with the Unit Manager and a fellow team leader within the department. We are now looking for a team leader who has expertise in the areas of harmful use and addiction, domestic violence, and social psychiatry. The social services in Gislaved are undergoing development, and we are reviewing our organization to meet future needs in the long term. Against this background, we are now seeking an employee with competence and authorization in the area of Child and Youth Authority, which may eventually be included in the tasks as part of a possible reorganization. There is currently work underway to create a joint reception that encompasses both Adult and Functional Support and Children and Youth.

The unit consists of a unit manager, 2 team leaders, 12 social workers, and 1 administrative officer, of which 5 employees currently work in the area of harmful use and addiction and domestic violence.

Responsibilities

As a team leader, your overall responsibilities are to lead and distribute the work for the social workers and to provide guidance on cases and develop the work.

Your work includes, among other things:

  • Being available and a resource for employees within the team.
  • Case guidance, work leadership, and coaching employees in their daily work.
  • Distributing cases within the team and having an overview of the current workload.
  • Keeping updated on current legislation, manuals, routines, etc.
  • Being a presenter in social committees, Administrative Court, and Administrative Court of Appeal.
  • Providing extra support in difficult and complicated cases.
  • Conducting development work together with the unit manager.
  • Being responsible for ensuring that internal and external collaboration functions together with the unit manager.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and introduction of new employees.
  • Monitoring legislation, methodological issues, and precedent-setting court cases together with the unit manager.
  • Ensuring that new employees receive an introduction and planning competence development for staff together with the unit manager.
  • Assisting the unit manager in workplace environment issues.
  • Making authority decisions according to the applicable delegation order.

Qualifications

You are a trained social worker or have equivalent education that is assessed as equivalent according to Chapter 25, Section 1 of the Social Services Act (2025:400). The position requires experience in case management according to the Social Services Act, and it is meritorious if you have experience working with children and youth, harmful use and addiction, social psychiatry, and domestic violence. Your employee participation is closely linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in your and the organization’s development. For us, this means that you have good cooperation with the manager and colleagues, both in your own workplace and in the rest of the municipality.

A driving license B is a requirement.
