Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment assistant at SiS Youth Home Långanäs! The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you will ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and security of our youth and are responsible for the basics of daily life, such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, etc. You will also contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good treatment relationships and contribute to ensuring that our youth receive the security and safety they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to schedule, day - evening, and weekend.

As a summer temp at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training over three days to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

You should have:

• At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care.
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious is:

• Experience from client-facing positions in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., prison officer
• Security guard training
• Experience working with youth

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformations. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, great empathetic ability, and the ability to create good treatment relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
