The Northern Inner City area for support and service for persons with disabilities provides services according to LSS.

We provide services to adults with disabilities. Our mission is to offer support and service based on individual needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in community life for our users. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured working method, and a low-arousal and respectful attitude towards tenants and colleagues.

We are now looking for 4 temporary staff for two different services who want to work as support assistants in a group home under LSS. Two positions involve waking night shifts, one position involves day, evening, and every other weekend, and one position involves sleeping on-call, day, evening, and every other weekend.

Your Role

As a professional health creator in unit 4, you will provide support, care, and service based on our tenants' individual needs through a salutogenic approach and a curious mindset. You will be involved in the tenant's daily life, providing support and active guidance to the individual where relationship-building and genuine engagement are your driving forces.

Tasks vary, and no two days are alike. Team members provide tenants with support in household chores, hygiene, and care. We are committed to ensuring that tenants have meaningful leisure time and good relationships with friends, family, partners, and community life, which you will naturally support the individual with. This may involve supporting the tenant in visiting swimming pools, working out at the gym, attending church/mosque, visiting family, participating in pride parades, political gatherings, or any other leisure activity the tenant wishes to undertake. You need to have good physical ability and endurance to support the tenant based on their needs. You must be able to swim and have good water skills.

As an employee, you see digital tools as essential work instruments that you actively use in your daily work. This may include developing visual support, using work emails, managing phone contacts, and reading and writing social documentation. The position also includes being a support person for one or more tenants and holding representative roles.

Your Competence and Experience

It is advantageous if you have ongoing or completed education such as:

• Nursing program/Care and nursing program with a focus on disabilities that enables the title of support assistant.

It is also advantageous if you have work experience from:

• Experience working with autism
• Experience working with intellectual disabilities in group homes under LSS
• Experience in care
• Experience with visual support and sign communication (AAC)

We are looking for someone who is flexible and has a good ability to handle changing circumstances. You are meticulous and unpretentious in your working style and invite collaboration. You interpret kindly and see lessons when things do not go as planned. You work on the premise that we are each other's work environment and actively contribute to a learning and pleasant work environment. You express yourself well in speech and writing.
