Support Assistant at the LSS Residence Kajen in Rimbo

We are looking for someone to work as a support assistant at the LSS residence Kajen in Rimbo.

About the Position

Your focus will be to guide and empower each individual's ability to live as independently as possible through a pedagogical and individualized approach. In the unit, you will work with users who have developmental disabilities and/or autism. Working hours vary between day, morning, evening, weekend, and night. The employment rate is full-time.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Having support person responsibility.
• Supporting based on the implementation plan, individual needs, and wishes.
• Activating and supporting the user by accompanying them to medical visits and other events in the residents' lives, in social contexts, and during activities.
• Being a support in daily household tasks such as shopping, cleaning, laundry, and other practical tasks.
• Care work.
• Providing pedagogical guidance.
• Documenting.
• Performing delegated care tasks.
• Maintaining contact with the user's network - for example, family, care contacts, guardians, and other important people for them.

With us, you will have an independent job with the opportunity to influence the scheduling. We also offer a wellness allowance of 5000 SEK annually.

About You

For this position, you need:

• A high school education from the health and care program, child and leisure program, or another equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• To show an extract from the criminal record.
• Good digital competence, i.e., technical knowledge and skills required to handle various software such as journal systems, communication systems, and the Office suite.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience working within LSS.
• A driver's license for a manual car and driving experience.
• Special competencies that could add value to the organization.
• Knowledge of various functional variations such as autism, NPF, IF.
• Good knowledge of low-arousal responses/approaches.
• Knowledge in AAC (alternative augmentative communication).
• Experience working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors.
