About the Job

The Aviation Certification Section is responsible for issuing, renewing, and extending certificates as well as medical certificates and authorizations. We also supervise aviation doctors and aeromedical centers, and develop regulations within the aeromedical field. The section is divided into a medical team and a certification team.

The work involves both external and internal contacts where we place great importance on achieving good quality and providing good service and information to permit holders, private individuals, and other authorities. In our daily work, we also collaborate with colleagues in the field of flight training and lawyers specialized in the section's area of operations.

You Will

• process and make decisions on matters within the section's area of responsibility
• answer questions from the public
• support the processing process through administrative tasks such as mail and archive management
• work with other areas of the unit as needed.

You Must Have

• turned 18 years old by the start of employment
• a current university or college education, in e.g. social sciences, behavioral sciences, or law, or another focus that the employer deems relevant for the position
• very good computer skills, where you are accustomed to handling IT systems, Word, or Excel
• good knowledge of Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form.

It Is Meritorious If You Also Have

• an aviation certificate or have started training for an aviation certificate or other education in the aviation field
• experience as a case handler in matters related to aviation.

More Information

The employment is temporary from June to August with a possible extension. The position is located in Norrköping.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About the Transport Agency

Number of employees: Approximately 2000.

Areas of operation: The Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, grant permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership transfers.

Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro.

The head office is located in Norrköping.

About the Maritime and Aviation Department

The Maritime and Aviation Department contributes to a competitive, environmentally friendly, and safe transport system. We do this by maintaining registers, formulating regulations, reviewing and granting permits, and exercising supervision. We also operate in many contexts on the international arena.

We are located in Norrköping, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Stockholm and have about 300 employees organized into six units and a staff unit.
