Your Role

We are now looking for experienced engineers who want to work with us in the Naval Combat Systems business unit! Here you will have the chance to be part of the systems work to further develop the world's leading command systems. Our products are used on maritime platforms, such as surface vessels and submarines, and are tasked with compiling information from sensors, data links, and weapon systems to provide the operator with the best opportunity to make the right decision at the right time. As a systems engineer with us, you will have a central role and responsibility in the development of product requirements based on the analysis of customer needs. The requirements are used by our development departments for implementation in hardware and/or software. Right now, we have a great need for skilled, experienced employees who are interested in breaking down customer requirements into realizable requirements and design/architecture. There is also a high demand for technical leaders, so if you have ambitions in that area, there are opportunities for such development.

With us, you will work with interesting technology in advanced and complex systems. Many solutions are found together with others in the project and organization who have complementary skills.

We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to work, who is good at finding effective solutions and open to trying new things. With commitment and creativity, you tackle tasks. You have good communication skills, actively navigate the organization, and are skilled at collaborating with our internal and external stakeholders to prevent and solve emerging challenges and problems. Since our work is team-based, we believe you enjoy collaborating with others and have the ability to work independently. We value long-term commitment and balance in professional life - something we hope you prioritize as well.

Experiences and skills we are looking for:

Experience in requirements work and software development in complex systems
Competence in system design and/or technical leadership
Practical experience in verification and testing at the system level
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Desirable experiences:

Higher technical education (Master's degree or equivalent)
Competence in programming, computer architecture/operating systems, or IT security
Experience from a maritime environment or work within the defense sector

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for specific citizenship.
