We are looking for an IT Specialist/System Administrator for our client

Assignment Description

During the implementation of a new operational monitoring system and upcoming parallel operation, the client needs to strengthen their management organization with experienced IT specialists/system administrators who can work alongside existing staff to ensure the IT operations for the current operational monitoring system.

For this, the client needs experienced IT specialists/System Administrators who are accustomed to managing mission-critical systems in a complex Linux environment. You will belong to the group that has primary responsibility for the IT operations of the system.

Responsibilities

You will work alongside other IT specialists/system administrators in a management organization that has close collaboration with the business, responsible for managing the current SCADA/EMS system. You will have access to experts in IT infrastructure. The goal is to manage the current system until the new system is in production.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading troubleshooting during incidents and providing support and assistance to other systems, our business, and external parties.
• Development and coding of application modules will be performed by the supplier, but you need to be able to write scripts and handle manual SQL database operations to assist in manual deployment, testing, and troubleshooting.
• It also includes continuously ensuring that technical changes in the application do not affect operational reliability, IT security, and existing functions.
• The role includes securing delivery and operation of the SCADA/EMS system, including maintenance and monitoring. You will also participate in work on upgrades and system improvements.
• Together with the team, you contribute to continuously developing the team's activities and processes.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 3 years of work experience in complex IT environments based on Linux/Unix.
• At least 2 years of work experience with mission-critical or operational-critical IT systems (e.g., real-time control and monitoring).
• At least 2 years of experience in application and system administration.

Desirable

• University or college education focused on IT or equivalent engineering degree.
• At least 1 year of work experience in the energy sector.
• At least 1 year of work experience in security-sensitive operations.
• At least 1 year of work experience in government or other public sector operations.
