About the job

As a data center specialist, you will work with the development and maintenance of our data center services as well as with requirements specification against external data center providers. You will collaborate with the service manager for the data center. Your team consists of skilled technicians and architects who belong to the section for servers, storage, and virtualization, who together develop and maintain the Swedish Tax Agency's infrastructure services.

We are currently building the next generation of our infrastructure services, where we will further increase automation and further develop our private cloud solution to handle multiple customers, with the data center service as the foundation. The culture at the Swedish Tax Agency is characterized by an agile working method with an open dialogue for change and development.

The IT department at the Swedish Tax Agency consists of nearly 1200 employees. You will be part of the Swedish Tax Agency's Technical Services (STT) with about 450 employees. We are responsible for development, maintenance, and operations and deliver services within IT infrastructure, platforms, and IT workplaces to several authorities, including the Swedish Tax Agency, the Enforcement Authority, the Election Authority, the Payment Authority, and the Agency for Digital Administration.

About you

You should also have:

• relevant education in IT or several years of work experience in the field that the employer deems relevant for the role
• several years of current and relevant work experience in the development and maintenance of data centers as well as requirements specification against external data center providers and their components such as power supply, climate, physical connectivity, racks, physical security, external communication, fire protection
• several years of current and relevant work experience with data center components, especially racks and their external components, as well as the hardware that utilizes the racks
• a valid driver's license (B)

It is also desirable if you have worked with agile methods.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
