About the Role and Your Responsibilities

The position involves teaching social studies subjects in grades 7-9 at Svaleboskolan.

You will plan, conduct, and evaluate educational work in accordance with the applicable curriculum. Mentorship is included in the position.

As a primary school teacher, you will work pedagogically and socially based on the goals and guidelines of the organization as well as applicable governing documents. You are well acquainted with the current curriculum and are responsible for the educational content of the teaching while promoting students' learning and development.

The position is a temporary contract expected to last until December 19, 2025.

We Are Looking for You

We are looking for someone with a teaching license and qualifications in social studies for the specified grades, as well as previous teaching experience. You are a collaborative teacher, engaged in your work, and willing to try new approaches to continuously improve your teaching. You see clear leadership in the classroom as a given. You have a holistic perspective on student development and plan your teaching to include all students.

About the Workplace

Svaleboskolan is a K-9 school and after-school care center with over 800 students located in Veberöd in Lund Municipality. The school is led by a principal and three assistant principals. Svaleboskolan works with school development through collegial learning and accessible teaching. The educational environment is important, and we continuously improve students' learning environments.

Svaleboskolan is situated in a picturesque setting close to Romeleåsen and Körsbärsdalen, enriching a large part of our activities. Veberöd is located about 20 kilometers east of Lund with good bus connections from Malmö and Lund.

You will work with competent colleagues at a school with active pedagogical leadership and lively pedagogical discussions.

In the child and school administration, we work to create equality and good conditions for all children and students in our preschools, primary schools, and adapted primary schools to achieve their goals.
