Job Responsibilities

We offer you, who are registered in Åstorp Municipality and have completed year 9 by summer but have not yet started year 3 in high school, the opportunity to apply for a summer job with us.

Our summer internship is available in the following areas in 2026 but may change based on Åstorp Municipality's departments' ability to accommodate summer workers.

• Preschool/After-school care
• Custodial/Outdoor maintenance/Park
• Elderly care/Disability services/Day activities
• Kitchen and cleaning

The summer jobs are scheduled for two different periods: weeks 26–28, weeks 29 - 31

Each period involves 90 hours of work, usually 6 hours of work per day (excluding lunch break).

When you apply for a summer job, you need to answer a few questions regarding what you prefer to work with and during which period.

You apply digitally, which means you create a profile that will be the basis of your application. Provide your full name and contact details, and ensure that your email address is correct as we communicate decisions and other information via this. Do not use your school email.

If there are more applicants than available positions, a lottery will be held. You will receive notification of your placement around April 7 through a letter with all the information and a contract that you need to sign and return. You will also receive an email to the address you provided in your application. Those who do not receive a summer job offer will get an email about this but will automatically be placed on a reserve list. As a reserve, you will be contacted by phone in early May. Qualifications

You must have completed year 9 by summer but have not yet started year 3 in high school. You must be registered in Åstorp Municipality. We prioritize applicants who have not had summer jobs within the municipality before.

If you are offered a summer job where you will work in a school environment and elderly care, you are required to present an extract from the police record. More information can be found on the Police's website.

Since there is a limitation on how much minors (under 18 years) can work in total during a year, it is important that you indicate in your application if you will have other summer jobs besides ours.

No experience is required.
