In the field of pain and rehabilitation medicine, our clinic conducts specialized team-based assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, complex pain, complex fatigue, and Ehlers Danlos syndrome. The clinic has 14 beds and serves as a resource unit for the Southeast healthcare region. We have a specialized outpatient care service with various focuses and also work consultatively with other units. Interprofessional teamwork, where the patient, relatives, and relevant professionals collaboratively formulate goals for current rehabilitation, permeates our work. We strive for close collaboration with other services involved in patients' care and rehabilitation. We also have assessment activities related to insurance medicine and traffic medicine. The clinic is a university hospital unit proud of our expertise in pain, neurology, and rehabilitation. Research and development are significant parts of the clinic's work. Job Description

The position for the temporary role is within our outpatient care. The interventions focus on activity ability and participation in society. The work is done in close collaboration with other professionals in the team and with colleagues at the clinic. The interprofessional team includes, in addition to occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, nurses, and doctors. You will have contact with external partners such as employers and the social insurance agency. Administrative tasks include documentation in the journal system Cosmic.

Work Group

A total of 17 occupational therapists work at the clinic, most with extensive experience in the field. The group has a broad competence in occupational therapy, with some having specialized knowledge in areas such as spinal cord injuries, pain, brain injuries, and/or work-oriented rehabilitation.

About You

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. You have an interest in and experience in pain rehabilitation and/or neurological rehabilitation. It is an advantage if you have experience working in teams with patients with complex issues. We wish for you to have a few years of work experience. A master's degree or other further education is also advantageous. A driver's license is required as travel is part of the job.

The work is based on close collaboration within the team, and you see teamwork as a given and work well with other professionals. As needs and conditions can change quickly, you easily adapt to changing circumstances. You can quickly change your perspective and see opportunities in changes. You will face problems where there is no obvious solution, which means you need to come up with new ideas and approaches; you have innovative thinking that can be put into practice and leads to results. The ability to see the whole picture and consider the larger perspective is central to performing the work well.
