The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical care, authority exercise, ordering of services, and operates care and support on its own. Your tasks

Our vision is clear: "Smart Care for the Future." Do you want to help shape the future of care and support? Then you might be the one we are looking for! To meet the aging population while maintaining good quality, we need to increase our staff with the right competencies.

In May 2026, Linköping municipality will take over responsibility for home care, home health care, home rehabilitation, and assistance-assessed security housing in the southwest area, which includes Lambohov, Skäggetorp, Vikingstad, and Ulrika/Nykil.

Within home care, you provide support and care directly in people's homes. Here you have the opportunity to truly make a difference and become a crucial part of someone's life every day. You will encounter a wide variety of needs and challenges, making the work both varied and rewarding.

As a nursing assistant, you will play a central role in ensuring good care for our elderly at night. The work is independent and varied, where no night is the same as another. The main focus is on care tasks such as medication management and supervision, but service-related tasks also occur. The position includes performing both planned interventions and responding to alarms. We start from Ålerydsvägen 7 and travel from there to those who need our help by car.

The night organization belongs to the department of open care forms and is aimed at people living in ordinary housing or security housing who need help during the night. We work in clusters but operate in all home care areas belonging to Linköping municipality. With us, you will become part of a team of knowledgeable and experienced employees who, together with planners and the operations manager, work to provide the best possible care for our elderly.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with work experience in care, support, and assistance. If you have previous experience in night work, we consider it a strong merit. We also see it as a merit if you have a complete high school education, especially if you are a trained nursing assistant.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of contact with users and documentation, which means it is a requirement that you can communicate verbally and in writing in the Swedish language. We also see additional language skills as a merit.

You have good computer skills and the ability to use digital tools in your work. For this position, you need to have a B driver's license as we use a car in the work.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and self-aware. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and push your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly, with the ability to adapt your communication style. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability and can understand others' perspectives and situations.
