Job Description

As a PTP psychologist in psychiatry, you will work with assessment, treatment, and investigation of individuals with complex psychiatric conditions. The work takes place in multiprofessional teams and includes both individual interventions and close collaboration with, for example, schools, social services, and other healthcare providers. In adult psychiatry, you will meet patients with varied needs and often complex problems. In child and adolescent psychiatry, you will work with patients aged 0–18 in close collaboration with networks such as family, school, and social services. The placement is planned to provide you with a broad and deep introduction to the psychologist role.

You will be placed in a team within child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry in Linköping or Norrköping. Several clinics have strong psychological competence, psychological leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to participate in clinic-wide development and research projects.

At the child and adolescent psychiatric clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping, we offer you an exciting PTP placement where you will have the opportunity to work under supervision with assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. Treatments are provided both individually and in groups. Other tasks include collaboration with schools, social services, and healthcare. You will also have the opportunity to participate in development work at the clinic. The clinic has guidelines for introduction, supervision, and content during the PTP placement. You will be part of one of the teams focused on general specialist psychiatry.

About PTP in Region Östergötland

Region Östergötland offers a cohesive and quality-assured PTP program that provides you as a new psychologist with a safe and developing start in your professional life. Our program includes seminars, lectures, and collegial meetings where you can broaden your competence, deepen your professional role, and create a network with other PTP psychologists in the region.

We have an appointed PTP study director who acts as support for you, your supervisor, and your manager throughout the year. All PTP psychologists have a supervisor with at least three years of professional experience, and individual supervision occurs regularly, at least one hour per week, in accordance with our quality criteria and the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations.

We are proud of our PTP program – it is an important part of our long-term competence supply and an expression of our commitment to the development of the psychology profession.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a recognized psychology degree upon entry and good knowledge of Swedish, corresponding to C1 level.
