Your Responsibilities

The Care and Social Services Administration now offers a unique opportunity to obtain a permanent position with a salary during your full-time studies to become a nursing assistant. A secure choice for those who truly want to make a difference.

As an employee in elderly care, you will study full-time to become a nursing assistant. During your training period, you will have a permanent position as a care assistant. After you have completed your training and received approval for a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare, you will be offered a permanent position as a nursing assistant.

In your upcoming role as a nursing assistant, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for meeting the individual needs of good care and a meaningful everyday life. This may involve care tasks such as assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions. It also includes providing emotional support for daily living and social activities as requested.

You will be part of a team with other professionals such as specialist nursing assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Collaboration also occurs with other care institutions and with relatives. Under the delegation of licensed personnel, you will perform medical care and rehabilitative work tasks.

The work is planned, documented, and closely monitored. As a nursing assistant, it is therefore very important that you document well in the operational systems available at the workplace. Digitalization is an important future issue for us, and we work with various digital tools to increase the independence of our users, as well as to create more efficient working methods. Your Workplace

Elderly care is undergoing significant changes. The elderly population is increasing, which means that more elderly people have needs for care and support. Together with new technology and improved collaboration with other care institutions, we aim to provide our elderly with care and support of the highest possible quality. The training that will grant you a nursing assistant diploma is conducted through Linvux over approximately three semesters, including practical training. We offer a total of 30 places. The employment starts in May 2026 to work in a nursing home until the training begins at the end of August 2026.

You will have a permanent position as a care assistant. You will have a manager who will be there to support you both during your training and practical training. After completing your studies, you will be assigned to a placement in a nursing home. The training has summer and Christmas breaks, during which you will work as a care assistant in one of our operations.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has at least 1800 approved high school credits, including the courses Swedish 1/Swedish as a second language 1 (100 credits) and Social Studies 1 (50 credits). You also have work experience in a profession that involves contact with people, such as childcare, retail, the restaurant industry, care and support, or service. We also see that you have an interest in people, the elderly, and care and support.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of contact with users and documentation, which means that it is a requirement that you can communicate orally and in writing in the Swedish language. You have good computer skills and the ability to use digital tools in your work.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, driving your work and studies forward. You work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability, meaning you can understand others' perspectives and situations. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. You bring enthusiasm, energy, and passion to your work and influence the direction of discussions as well as the motivation of others. You take pride in your job.
