The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people and for adults with substance abuse. Regardless of where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
SiS Youth Home Folåsa receives school-age girls with psychosocial issues as well as criminality and substance abuse.
Job Description
Do you want to contribute to life-changing transformations for vulnerable young people? Then the job as a psychologist with us at SiS Youth Home Folåsa is a meaningful challenge for you.
SiS Youth Home Folåsa has five departments with space for 31 young people. As a psychologist at Folåsa, your expertise is in demand and important. As a psychologist, you are part of our care and treatment organization and work towards our MBB departments and our treatment departments. The care and treatment organization currently consists of five psychologists, two nurses, five treatment secretaries, and three family therapists.
With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to good care and treatment at both the individual and group levels through individual treatment contacts and by providing supervision to treatment staff in client-related work. Additionally, you will conduct assessment interviews upon admission to the institution, mapping, investigations, suicide risk assessments, structured risk and needs assessments, and assessments of responsiveness. You will also participate in treatment planning, interdisciplinary team meetings, and in the institution's professional development through lectures and consultations to treatment staff on psychological matters. You are an important part of providing your colleagues with knowledge and tools regarding our youth's conditions.
At Folåsa, our treatment staff are trained in trauma-informed care (TMO), and our psychologists are responsible for training and consultation in TMO for all departments. If interested and based on the needs of the organization, there is an opportunity to work on method development and improvement projects.
SiS offers good opportunities for professional development. There is an established collaboration for psychologists at the central level through annual conferences, and participation in various research projects may occur. You will have access to supervision in your work and work closely with existing psychologists. You will also work in close collaboration with other professionals at the institution, such as treatment secretaries, department teams, and treatment staff, which requires good collaboration skills.
Folåsa is part of the integrated care development project, aimed at enhancing knowledge on how to improve care for the children and youth at SiS special youth homes who require extensive psychiatric care. This means we have close cooperation with Region Östergötland and the BUP clinic, and that staff from BUP work on-site with us at Folåsa.
As an employee at SiS, several benefits are included in your employment, which you can read about here: Benefits (https://www.stat-inst.se/jobba-hos-oss/formaner/)
