Within the field of pain and rehabilitation medicine, our clinic conducts specialized team-based assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation for individuals with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, complex pain, fatigue, and Ehlers Danlos syndrome.
The clinic is a resource unit for the southeastern healthcare region and has inpatient beds for neurorehabilitation patients. We have a specialized outpatient service with several different focuses and work consultatively with other units. We conduct interprofessional teamwork where the patient, relatives, and involved professionals jointly formulate goals for the current rehabilitation period. We strive for close collaboration with other services and have an assessment function linked to insurance medicine and traffic medicine.

Job Description
The work at the clinic is team-based (highly) specialized care of patients within our assignments and aims to help patients return to an active life from their perspective. As a resident physician, you will receive a personally tailored training program and a supervisor. The position involves work in both inpatient and outpatient care, and at the end of the residency, also on-call work with home readiness. Common tasks include outpatient visits, team rounds, ward work, and consultative work for inpatients in other departments. You practice holistic thinking, functional analysis, consider abilities and participation, and take into account personal and environmental factors to eliminate, reduce, or compensate for impairments in function and activity ability.
Work Group
You will work in a team with other professionals and will be part of a group of physicians with experienced specialists in rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, general medicine, geriatrics, anesthesiology, neurology, and physicians in training.
About You
A Swedish medical license is required. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C are required. You should be able to communicate fluently with patients, relatives, and colleagues. A supplementary specialty in pain management is an advantage.
Previous experience in rehabilitation is advantageous, as is experience from relevant or related fields. Work with patients with complex comorbidities and composite problems is viewed positively. Experience in teamwork with other professional groups and good knowledge of the biopsychosocial approach and insurance medicine is preferred. An interest in rehabilitation medicine and organizational development is important.
