Operating Room Nurse in Neurosurgery and ENT

In our operating department, we offer anesthesia and surgical services to various surgical specialties. Here, high-tech advanced surgical care and emergency management of trauma patients are provided. ANOPIVA is the largest clinic in Region Östergötland and provides surgical care across all surgical specialties excluding thoracic/vascular surgery. Our units perform both elective and emergency surgery with work scheduled around the clock.

The neurosurgery department in Linköping is one of seven neurosurgical facilities in Sweden. We offer highly specialized surgeries to patients of all ages with injuries and diseases of the central nervous system. ENT performs surgery in the areas of ear, nose, and throat diseases with varying procedures ranging from tracheostomies to advanced tumor surgery. We perform a lot of elective surgery, but a significant portion is also emergency surgery.

The operating department is equipped with navigation systems, microscopes, and ultrasound equipment. We also have an intraoperative room for magnetic resonance imaging where we perform various surgeries and treatments in the MRI scanner.

Job Description

As an operating room nurse, you will work in the neurosurgery/ENT section but with some introduction in other sections to participate in on-call work. This means that your specialized skills will develop in your home section, but you will have knowledge of life-saving emergency surgeries in other sections.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with specialized training in operating room nursing and have a special interest in neurosurgery and ENT surgery while wanting to maintain broad emergency competence.

You should have good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form as you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and maturity.

The work is characterized by excitement and variation where your flexibility and problem-solving ability will come into play. You are a curious person who wants to contribute to the development of the operations.

It is important that you enjoy teamwork and work well with others in a responsive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you are an engaged person who wants to contribute to a positive and good working environment.
