Social Services

The Social Services are responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and must implement interventions regulated by these laws. All operations are centered around the individual to meet their needs. The mission involves a strong customer focus and service spirit.

The home healthcare in Motala Municipality consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, nursing assistants, and rehabilitation assistants. We work in teams together with elderly care, LSS operations, and daily activities for the best of our citizens.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The mission involves proximity and continuity with a holistic perspective in patient contact. It is a varied and exciting assignment with good opportunities for personal development. You will make independent assessments and lead and perform health and medical care interventions. You will plan actions and carry out follow-ups, manage medications, infusions, and medical technology equipment. You plan the work based on the individual patient's conditions and needs. You are responsible for leading and delegating care staff. You work closely with the responsible physician, unit manager, and care staff at the residence, as well as in contact with relatives. You are an important contact with primary and specialist care.

You will work daytime on weekdays with on-call duty every 5th weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Competencies:

  • We are looking for a licensed nurse.
  • You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both written and spoken, as the work involves a lot of patient and relative contact as well as record-keeping, quality registers, and other documentation.
  • A B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

Personal Competencies:

  • You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You have the interest, will, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.
  • As a person, you actively take initiative in social contexts, step forward, and find it easy to create new relationships.
  • You easily adapt, develop, and learn new things in response to changing demands, conditions, and circumstances. You see opportunities in changes.
  • As the work is varied with a fluctuating and sometimes high pace, we are looking for someone who can handle stress constructively, maintaining a good mood under pressure and setbacks.
