About the Unit:
At the Helicopter Wing, you will find the 311th Staff and Logistics Company, which includes the 14th Medical Platoon. The company supports the wing with, for example, transportation, cooking, communication, and medical care. The 14th Medical Platoon is responsible for establishing and maintaining the unit's location and staffing ambulance teams.
The Position Offers:
The training position in the platoon means that you, together with the platoon leadership, ensure that the personnel maintain the right level of competence, both at the individual and group level regarding the Swedish Armed Forces' medical guidelines. You will participate in exercises both as an exercise leader and participant. This includes the opportunity to maintain or develop your military competence. The platoon leadership, together with the unit's doctor, will support you with the military aspects and the development of the platoon's medical competence. You will also support the wing with various levels of medical training. In this position, there will be opportunities for clinical service after consultation with the platoon commander.
Main Responsibilities
- Training and development of the platoon's medical capability
- Planning and monitoring of activities from a medical perspective
Qualifications
- Licensed nurse with specialist training in Anesthesia, ICU, or ambulance
- At least 2 years of experience after specialist examination.
- Meets the Swedish Armed Forces' physical requirements.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech/text in both Swedish and English.
- Driving license B
Personal Qualities
We prefer that you enjoy working in a team but also independently. The work can sometimes be demanding and in field-like prehospital conditions that often require innovative thinking and creativity. If you are a problem solver with good analytical skills, it is an advantage. We also appreciate if you value education and mentoring of colleagues and other categories of healthcare personnel as important. You believe in the equal value of people, have democratic values, and are prepared to serve both nationally and internationally. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability during recruitment.
Meritorious
- Completed courses TNCC, ATSS, A-HLR
- Completed military service, Basic Military Training, or Basic Soldier Training, Officer Training
- Previous military service abroad
- Previous experience as a mentor/trainer
- PHTLS, DSTC or equivalent course
- Experience in trauma management and experience in prehospital and/or disaster medical work
- Training in basic trauma management, e.g., ATLS
- Military driver's license

Permanent employment, Full-time. A six-month probationary period applies.
