Welcome to become part of a workgroup that cares for each other and has fun together!

With us, we work with highly specialized care in gynecology and contribute to increased quality of life for our patients.

Our Offer

For the life ahead. Region Östergötland has high ambitions and a responsible mission. It is about health and care, about the development of our region, and about those who live and stay here. We want to continue to be at the forefront, with care, research, and education. This means daring to think new – and having the best employees. Therefore, we offer unique opportunities for further learning and invest in modern environments with effective systems and tools. Many of us meet patients and relatives, while others create the conditions for life-saving interventions. With us, fantastic people work towards the same goal – to make a real difference, and for the life ahead.

At our gynecological care department in Linköping, we place great value on high quality and the right care. This is to meet the need for gynecological care for our hospitalized patients, our emergency services that operate around the clock, and abortion services. We have a high staffing of nurses to meet that need. This means in practice that you never work alone as a nurse, that there is always a more experienced colleague available when you are new, and that you will not work nights during the initial period.

Job Description

In the department, we work in pair care, which is a close and important collaboration between nurses and nursing assistants. In each care team, there are up to seven patients that we together care for with the patient's best interests in focus. As a nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that our patients receive the right care in every given situation. Collaboration with different professions is important, and you as a nurse have a leading role in the daily work. The daily tasks in the care team include basic and specific nursing care, medication administration, NEWS checks, rounds, dressings, nutrition, patient admissions and discharges, mobilization, and preparations for treatment, among others.

In the evenings, weekends, and nights, we have an emergency reception in the department. In the emergency reception, we receive, prepare, and assist during examinations and in cases of sexual violence.

During the day, an experienced nurse is present as a coordinator in addition to the care teams.

After a while, when you are comfortable in your role, you will start working as an emergency nurse, work nights, and as a coordinator, and you will receive further training.

As a nurse with us, you need to be responsible and curious, as well as have a knack for good communication and collaboration.

Workgroup

Our workgroup consists of nurses, nursing assistants, specialist nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, social workers, surgical planners, staffing coordinators, business developers, research nurses, and contact nurses.

With us, we have experienced nurses as coordinators and emergency nurses to ensure the availability of experienced staff on site at all hours of the day and to meet the medical needs of our patients.

We actively work with the work environment, development, and well-being. Every Monday, we have training, reflection with a social worker and priest, or staff meetings in the afternoon.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Previous experience in inpatient care is an advantage but not a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We work closely together and need to have good communication to successfully solve the tasks we encounter in everyday life. Therefore, the position suits you who thrive in collaboration and are attentive and communicative with both colleagues, patients, and relatives.

Application and Employment

We offer both permanent positions and temporary contracts. We work with ongoing selection, so please submit your application as soon as possible.

For questions regarding the position, contact Agnes Olsson, see contact details below. Before employment in a patient-facing role within Region Östergötland, you will need to fill out a form (https://ledsys.lio.se/Document/Document?DocumentNumber=54500).

Warm welcome to submit your application! If you need help registering in the system, contact customer service Support and Service, 010-103 60 00, during office hours.

To staffing, placement, and recruitment companies and to you as a seller: We kindly but firmly request no direct contact with staffing, placement, and recruitment companies as well as other external actors and sellers of additional job ads. Region Östergötland has contracted agreements.
