Vårdcentralen Vadstena and Vårdcentralen Marieberg have been a joint operational area since April 2025.

The change aims to create a robust operation that is prepared to meet the demographic challenges we face in the future. Together, the operations currently have about 16,000 registered patients and a workforce of approximately 65 employees.

Primärvårdscentrum Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, four emergency centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the Child Health Care Unit, 1177, and the General Medicine Training Center. We conduct a broad primary care operation where we provide care for everyone throughout their lives; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

Job Description

The position is divided between our elderly reception and our regular nursing reception. Our elderly reception was newly established in the autumn of 2025, and you will work in a team with two nurses based at Vårdcentralen Marieberg and a district doctor. You will work independently with connection assessments and follow-up reception work. You will also work with telephone counseling and regular reception work. There is a great variation in the patient base and a clear rural perspective. Supervision of students is also an important part of the job, as well as engagement in the health center's development and quality work.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse. District nurse training or other training in primary care or geriatric care is advantageous but not a requirement.

Previous experience in primary care or reception work aimed at the elderly is also advantageous.

As you will be in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You have good collaboration skills, communicate, listen, and solve obstacles in a constructive way. You feel secure in your professional role and can easily adapt to new situations and see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You have a positive attitude towards your work and act in accordance with decisions made, policies, and guidelines. We place great importance on personal qualities where collaboration and good treatment of patients and colleagues are important to us.
