Do you want to work closely with the business in a role where quality, pace, and customer relationships meet? We are looking for a lending specialist who combines analytical sharpness with a strong drive and a genuine interest in understanding both the customer and the process in depth.

Kommuninvest is a member-owned credit market company that offers Swedish municipalities and regional groups competitive and sustainable loan financing for housing, infrastructure, schools, and hospitals, among other things. Together, we achieve better loan terms than individually. Since its inception in 1986, Kommuninvest has saved billions for its members in the form of lower interest rates. Currently, 297 municipalities and regions are members of this voluntary collaboration. With a balance sheet total of approximately 600 billion SEK, Kommuninvest is the largest lender in the municipal and regional sector.

About the Department
The Lending Group, together with the Advisory Group and Credit Group, forms Kommuninvest's lending and advisory department. The group is responsible for lending as well as support and development of digital services within KI Finance. The department manages a total lending volume of approximately 545 billion SEK.

About the Role
As a lending specialist, you will work closely with our customers in their loan process. This means you will be involved from the moment a customer wants to borrow money until the transaction is completed and correctly documented.

You will work operationally at the core of our lending operations. You will learn step by step how the process works – from quote to closure – and gradually take on more responsibility. You will work alongside experienced colleagues and develop by being active in dialogue with customers and in improving our working methods.

You do not need to know everything from day one, but you need to be curious, structured, and willing to understand how the business fits together. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues within the department and other parts of the organization.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and manage loan offers
• Review and quality assure customers' decision documentation
• Execute business closures and ensure correct documentation
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers throughout the lending process
• Provide support and guidance to customers in using our digital services
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure smooth and professional delivery
• Identify improvement opportunities in working methods and routines
• Participate in development and change work, for example in system improvements

We are looking for someone who
Has a bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, or equivalent. A focus on finance is advantageous. You are at the beginning of your career or have a few years of experience and want to develop within finance and lending.

It is advantageous if you have worked in a customer-facing role or within finance, lending, or the public sector – but it is not a requirement. The most important thing for us is your curiosity, drive, and willingness to learn.

You are analytically inclined and enjoy understanding how things are interconnected. At the same time, you are structured and meticulous, even when the pace is high.

You have a fundamental confidence in yourself that allows you to ask questions, express your opinions, and contribute perspectives – even when you are new in the role. You are unpretentious, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality work.

We believe that you:
• Are responsible and enjoy taking ownership of your tasks
• Are pedagogical and can explain complex things in a simple way
• Enjoy dialogue with customers and colleagues
• Want to develop and eventually take on greater responsibility in the business

With us, you will have the opportunity to grow into the role and gradually build your competence within the lending process.

What you get
As an employee at Kommuninvest, you will be part of a company with a clear societal mission – to finance sustainable development in Sweden's municipalities and regions. Here, you will work in a knowledge-intensive environment where quality, responsibility, and collaboration permeate everything we do.

We offer competitive salaries, secure employment conditions, and favorable insurance and pension solutions according to collective agreements. You will also have access to wellness benefits, health-promoting activities, and our own wellness initiative KIVI, which invites both movement, culture, and community.

Our culture is based on the values of professionalism, engagement, and stronger together. This means that we have high ambitions, make a difference with passion, and always support each other. Together, we create a workplace characterized by pride, care, and a desire to contribute to something greater.

Our Recruitment Process
We work with a structured and anonymized recruitment process to minimize the risk of unconscious bias and ensure a fair assessment. Each recruitment is based on clearly defined must-have requirements. If you meet these, you will automatically proceed to the next step in the process.

As part of the selection, we use psychological tests. The purpose is to create...
