Would you like to work as a Strategic Buyer in Karlskoga at Saab Dynamics and lead business-critical purchasing projects in an international and high-tech environment? We are now looking for a driven and business-oriented strategic buyer for Saab Dynamics.

You will be employed by Jefferson Wells and work on assignment at Saab in Karlskoga. The assignment starts immediately, runs for at least one year, and may lead to an extension or employment with the client.

About the role - Strategic Buyer for Chemicals & Non-Metallic Components

As a strategic buyer, you will be responsible for the purchasing area of chemicals and non-metallic components, with elements of category management. You will lead purchasing activities related to the company's sales and delivery projects and contribute to enhanced competitiveness through cost-effective and sustainable business.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies based on market analysis, supplier capacity, and business goals
• Drive supplier development and supplier evaluation to ensure quality, delivery precision, and cost-effectiveness
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with national and international suppliers
• Lead purchasing projects in close collaboration with engineering, production, quality, and R&D
• Optimize costs and identify savings initiatives without compromising quality and safety
• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, export controls, and defense-related regulations
• Manage and minimize risks in the supply chain (Supply Chain Risk Management)
• The role combines strategic purchasing, project management, and business development in a technically advanced environment.

Qualifications - We are looking for someone who:

• Preferably has a university degree in engineering, economics, or equivalent work experience
• May have experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, or project management, as well as a strong genuine interest in purchasing.
• Is analytical, structured, and results-oriented
• Thrives in cross-functional teams and communicates fluently in Swedish and English
• Has some form of experience from the manufacturing industry and technical operations
