Description
We are looking for an engaged and secure coach/therapist for our outpatient operations within Individual and Family Care (IFO).
The position is aimed at those who want to work in a relationship-building and supportive manner with youth and young adults and who want to be part of a context where collaboration and preventive work are in focus.
You will primarily work with youth and young adults aged 13–25 who are in or at risk of entering social risk zones. The assignment involves building long-term relationships and early identification of needs among youth who both have and lack contact with the municipality's services.
Responsibilities
As a coach/therapist, you primarily work with youth and young adults aged 13–25. You will work closely with the youth in their daily lives and be responsible for implementing treatment and/or support measures.
The work is varied and may involve both preventive, outreach, and supportive measures. You will also work with cases that have been granted assistance through the social services' investigation units. You will map the life situation, needs, and challenges of the youth and work with both general and targeted preventive measures. The work may include individual support to youth, skills training (emotion regulation, social skills, structure), guiding youth to leisure activities, studies, work, or support measures, creating employment and structure, and working with motivation.
The work is done in close collaboration with the networks surrounding the youth through cooperation with guardians, youth centers, security guards, schools, social services, police, etc.
The work involves administrative tasks such as documentation, planning, and follow-up. The position also includes evening and weekend work, as we adapt our work to meet the youth where they are and when the need arises.
Since the target group and their living conditions can change rapidly, it is important that you have an interest in monitoring the environment and keep updated on trends, risk behaviors, and the daily lives of youth.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in social work, such as social pedagogue, social worker, behavioral scientist, or equivalent education
- Documented experience with youth and/or young adults
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
Is structured, responsible, professional, and respectful in interactions. Enjoys working goal-oriented and results-oriented. A secure and stable person who easily creates and maintains relationships. Good collaboration skills and experience working in cooperation with other services.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements include a B driver's license and training in MI (Motivational Interviewing).
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience of collaboration with social services, schools, police, security guards, or other crime prevention actors
- Experience in planning, implementing, and following up on activities for youth
