Our Operations

The Psychiatry area consists of four sections: Affective Disorders, Acute and Consultation Psychiatry, Addiction and Neuropsychiatry, and Psychosis and Geriatric Psychiatry. Northern County Psychiatry is organizationally located in Addiction and Neuropsychiatry together with the outpatient clinic Håbo-Enköping, the Neuropsychiatric Clinic at Akademiska sjukhuset, and Addiction Medicine with two inpatient wards.

Northern County Psychiatry is located in Tierp with branches in Gimo, Skutskär, and Tärnsjö. We are an operation with a specialist assignment within general psychiatry. This means that we have both broad competence and the opportunity to acquire more specific skills in various psychiatric conditions. In our operations, we have doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, caregivers, and medical secretaries. The target group is all individuals over 18 years old in need of interventions from specialist psychiatry. We assess and treat affective disorders, psychotic disorders, neuropsychiatric disabilities, personality disorders, and other psychiatric conditions.

In our daily work, we rely on care processes and guidelines based on evidence. We are constantly working to develop our operations based on our unique conditions. We collaborate with primary care, municipalities, habilitation, and the psychiatric clinics at Akademiska sjukhuset in Uppsala.

Our operations have good communication connections and are easily accessible from Uppsala, Gävle, and Stockholm.

About the Position

We are in an exciting transformation process where we strengthen the work-oriented rehabilitation efforts as a central part of our operations. You will have the opportunity to influence and shape the role with the support of the region's rehabilitation coordinators and their network. Collaboration with healthcare neighbors will also be an obvious part of the assignment. The position is shared between the role of rehabilitation coordinator and clinical work in your primary profession.

As a rehabilitation coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating and planning rehabilitation efforts for our patients. You will work in a team with other professionals in the unit and ensure that patients receive the help and support they need to return to work or other forms of daily activities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Map rehabilitation needs
• Plan and coordinate individual rehabilitation plans
• Be the link between patient, employer, and other healthcare providers
• Ensure that patients receive the right support at the right time

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an occupational therapist or social worker.

If you are an occupational therapist, we would like you to have experience working with adults in primary care, psychiatry, or habilitation. You should have experience in mapping and assessment work such as ADL, daily balance, and assessment of work ability together with a multidisciplinary team.

If you are a social worker, we would like you to have experience working with adults in the Social Insurance Agency, social services, or another authority. You should have experience in mapping and investigative work. It is an advantage but not a requirement if you are a licensed health and medical care social worker.

Your Competence

You have a good ability to work independently and in a team with other professionals in the clinic. The work requires you to work in a structured and methodical manner and be prepared to sometimes prioritize and adapt your workday according to the needs of the operation. It is important that you are solution-focused and responsible. Since the work involves contacts with various professions both internally and externally, you need to have good communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working in a development-oriented manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
