In Knivsta, the spirit of the future is palpable. The location between Stockholm and Uppsala, just a stone's throw from Arlanda, is attractive, and Knivsta is growing rapidly. Every day, we actively build a sustainable community with proximity to both the city and serene nature. Do you want to work in an innovative future municipality where you can develop and make a difference? And do you share our common values of participation, engagement, and clarity?
Welcome to us!
We are now looking for a team leader for the advice and support unit. The position involves a shared role with 50% as a team leader and 50% as a family therapist.
At the Advice and Support unit, 18 family therapists and one unit manager work together. We engage in support conversations, guidance, and therapeutic work. The work includes everything from general preventive measures to intensive home-based treatment. We are also responsible for family law mediation conversations.
The tasks at the Advice and Support unit are very varied, and the needs of those seeking support from us differ greatly. This requires a high degree of flexibility, and one must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and partners. The work takes place both in our meeting facilities and in clients' home environments, often in collaboration with schools, student health services, healthcare providers, police, and other municipal units.
There are great opportunities within the unit to help develop new working methods. As the needs of our citizens are changing, we need to stay updated and seek out areas for development while preserving what works. In recent years, for example, the unit has developed a working method to promote school attendance in collaboration with schools and student health services, we have started an outreach group targeting youth to increase safety and identify needs at an early stage, and we have developed the Family Team initiative in collaboration with the municipality's housing support, aimed at parents with cognitive impairments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The position of team leader is new to the unit, and you will therefore participate in shaping the role.
As a team leader, you will be responsible for the operational management of the unit. You will work closely with the unit manager to ensure high quality and that the work is conducted in a qualitative and evidence-based manner. Since the position is shared and includes tasks both as a team leader and family therapist, you need to feel comfortable switching between these roles at work and be flexible in your approach. You need to be well-grounded and professional in your role. You should be able to see things from a broader perspective while also having an eye for details and specifics. Your analytical skills are strong, as well as your ability to collaborate both internally and externally.
Your approach is clear and respectful, contributing to a good atmosphere in the workplace. The position requires that you have extensive experience in family therapy. It is advantageous if you also have experience in treatment related to domestic violence or addiction, as well as previous leadership experience.
Your tasks:
- Provide coaching and support to therapists in their daily work.
- Engage in dialogue with the unit manager about development and actively participate in and lead development work and implementation together with the unit manager.
- Be jointly responsible for the operational management with the unit manager.
- In collaboration with the unit manager and designated mentor, be responsible for the introduction of new employees.
- Ensure that routines are kept up to date and participate in or possibly lead work when new routines are established.
- Participate in collaboration meetings.
- Regular case reviews with therapists.
- Compile statistics.
- Family therapy work on a part-time basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- Degree in social work or equivalent education.
