Investigative Psychologist for Autism Center for Young Children

Habilitering & Hälsa is an operation within Region Stockholm. The Autism Center for Young Children is a regional service within Habilitering & Hälsa, for children aged 0-6 years with a diagnosis within the autism spectrum. We strive to be at the forefront of research and development for our target group. Applied behavior analysis characterizes our working methods and techniques. The Autism Center for Young Children consists of approximately 50 employees.

Job Responsibilities:

As an investigative psychologist at the Autism Center for Young Children, your main task is to conduct developmental assessments with the question of intellectual disability in preschool-aged children with a diagnosis within the autism spectrum. You work independently but in close collaboration with other investigative psychologists and colleagues in the unit. You have access to external supervision regarding the assessment work. The developmental assessments include, among other things, history taking, testing, and related administration. Testing is conducted using standard testing instruments. In addition to the primary task of conducting developmental assessments, there may be tasks such as clinical treatment and leading group activities.

Qualifications:

Licensed psychologist with experience in assessment and diagnosis of intellectual disabilities. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

Experience and knowledge of the target group and TBA is an advantage.

You need to have good planning skills and the ability to work independently. You should be structured, flexible, inventive, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment. We place great importance on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.

Employment Form:

Temporary position for 11 months. Start date according to agreement.

In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

• background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
• employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
• in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
