Experienced Coordinator for Our Open Support Services

Kvinnojouren MIRA & Din Ungdomsjour is a non-profit, politically and religiously independent organization that has provided sheltered housing for abused women and their children for over 40 years. We work long-term for an equal society free from violence. Kvinnojouren MIRA offers accessible support with scheduled conversations at our counseling center for individuals who identify as women and who are experiencing or have experienced various types of violence in relationships.

Our youth program started in 2018 under the name Tjejjouren MIRA and has been operated since 2024 as Din Ungdomsjour, where young people aged 12-21 are offered support, counseling, and conversations.

Kvinnojouren MIRA & Din Ungdomsjour is now looking for a driven coordinator to primarily develop our open support services.

The role includes, among other things:

  • Working closely with the operations manager and child responsible at Kvinnojouren MIRA and the operations leader at Din Ungdomsjour
  • Starting up and leading group activities for women at our counseling center
  • Designing a new support initiative for youth based on an existing project plan
  • Recruiting, introducing, and training volunteers for targeted support initiatives
  • Collaborating and promoting the support services to schools, social services, healthcare, and other relevant actors
  • Conducting support conversations with individual women and youth at our counseling center
  • Carefully documenting, following up, and evaluating the operations work in a structured manner

  • Driving license B
  • Experience or knowledge about the life situation of abused individuals is an advantage

You need to be attentive and secure in various types of interactions and have the ability to support women, youth, and children in vulnerable situations. You are structured, meticulous, and enjoy administrative tasks. You can work independently, take initiative, and at the same time be flexible and collaborate closely with both colleagues and those seeking support.

The work is emotionally demanding and therefore requires stability, good self-awareness, and knowledge of your own areas for development, as well as an organized life situation.
