We are looking for a conversation therapist for a temporary position that lasts until the end of the year at StoppCenter. We are a unit that works against violence in close relationships where we have gathered authority and interventions within the same unit. The goal of our operation is to be a support to all parties in a family where violence occurs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of conversation therapist with a focus on sheltered housing, you provide practical and psychosocial support to victims of violence living in sheltered accommodation, with a particular focus on children. You are responsible for children in the accommodation and work, for example, with crisis support in connection with influence. You contribute, in collaboration with a colleague, to ensuring that the sheltered accommodation maintains good quality regarding safety, security, and physical environment. The job responsibilities also include maintenance of apartments as well as participation in move-ins and move-outs and inspections.

As a conversation therapist in the unit, you work with support conversations aimed at children, young people, and adults who are or have been victims of violence or who have witnessed violence. You are part of a team focused on violence in close relationships and conduct individual conversations where different forms of violence, the normalization process, and the psychological and physical consequences of violence are made visible. The work may also include practical support, such as assistance in legal processes and contacts with other authorities.

Both the role of conversation therapist and the work in the accommodation involve close collaboration with both internal and external actors. The work is based on a systems theory perspective with the goal of strengthening individuals' independence and contributing to a life free from violence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed a social work or behavioral science education and who has worked with or come into contact with the target group (primarily children) in previous work. You also need to have a B driver's license. Experience in social work focusing on violence in close relationships or working with children and/or adults in crisis/trauma is an advantage. Familiarity with documentation, training in Signs of Safety, or training in any conversation model for children is also advantageous.
