Healthcare Assistant to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Malmö
We are now welcoming you as a healthcare assistant who wants to be part of the team at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Malmö. With us, you will work in an environment with strong team spirit, good communication, and high competence.
The ICU has twelve beds that provide highly specialized intensive care to the hospital's various specialties and patients with confirmed or threatening reversible failure of vital functions. We moved into new premises in May 2024.
We are approximately 140 employees consisting of doctors, specialized nurses, healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, medical secretaries, and social workers.
What distinguishes our operation is development and continuous learning aimed at achieving good treatment results with lasting value for the patient. The intensive care unit is open to new research and new evidence-based treatment methods/strategies.
We offer a flexible working time model that results in reduced working hours.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a healthcare assistant with us, you will be offered a meaningful and developing job characterized by trust, participation, and personal responsibility. In our intensive care unit, care is characterized by high professionalism, the highest quality nursing, and a personal and respectful approach with great empathy. We work based on evidence-based and scientifically grounded treatment methods.
In your role, you will receive and care for patients with complex intensive care needs and provide support to their relatives in often demanding and emotional situations.
As a healthcare assistant, you are a central part of the team and play an important role in noticing changes in the patient's condition so that the right measures can be taken in time.
We offer a comprehensive introduction program and individualized mentorship so that you can have a safe and stable start with us based on your experiences and needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a trained healthcare assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures, preferably with a focus on emergency care. We also see that you have at least one year of experience working in somatic emergency care and experience working in intensive care. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You are resilient, solution-focused, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a structured manner. You have good collaboration skills, communicate clearly, and contribute to positive teamwork. Furthermore, you are engaged and willing to contribute to the development of the operation. OTHER
You need to present proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you have not received your proof of protected professional title, a certificate (not just a diploma) from your healthcare assistant training must be attached. If you were permanently employed as a healthcare assistant on July 1, 2023, and lack proof, please attach your employment certificate and your grades (not just a diploma) from your healthcare assistant training. If you do not have the proof, you may be employed as a nursing assistant on a temporary basis, pending the proof.
