As a public housing company with a significant opportunity to influence community development, the organization plays a central role in developing and managing several areas of the city. With over a hundred years of experience, the company has provided safe homes for thousands of families in the region. Customer service consists of 17 customer assistants who daily meet tenants and housing seekers via reception, phone, and chat. You will belong to customer service and report to the customer service manager.

About the assignment

The assignment is expected to start as soon as a decision is made. The position is needs-driven, meaning the scope may vary from week to week. A strong wish is that you have the opportunity to work during month-end closures, as the workload is highest then.

Working hours are normally 07:00–15:30 or 07:30–16:00. The work is performed entirely on-site, and there is no possibility for remote work.

The assignment runs until 2026-mm-dd with the possibility of extension in periods of three months. Notification of any extension will be given no later than two months before the assignment's end date.

The client company is now looking for a customer assistant for its customer service operations.

Your main tasks

As a customer assistant, you will have daily contact with customers via phone. It is a varied and service-oriented job that requires you to enjoy meeting people and be curious about your surroundings. With a welcoming, caring, and professional approach, you will receive inquiries and handle them according to applicable routines and processes. You will ensure that the customer understands and accepts the solution offered.

The role involves providing the right service, at the right time, and in the right way to all stakeholders. Availability, clear communication, and a good reception are central parts of the assignment. The goal is for tenants and housing seekers to feel heard, seen, and professionally treated.

Main tasks:

  • Answer general questions about rentals and how to apply for housing

  • Receive and handle inquiries from tenants, housing seekers, and other stakeholders

  • Provide status updates on ongoing cases

  • Receive and register maintenance requests

  • Handle keys and tags

  • Administer payment matters, such as rent payments and orders for maintenance and options

  • Establish agreements for parking spaces and storage

  • Handle terminations of housing, parking spaces, and storage

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people and has good knowledge of customer service, preferably with experience from an organization where the customer is the focus. Experience from the housing industry is an advantage but not a requirement.

Since the role involves extensive contact with tenants, housing seekers, and other stakeholders via phone, it is important that you have very good communication skills. You are attentive, empathetic, and confident in dialogue, regardless of the channel. In customer interactions, you radiate engagement, simplicity, and a positive attitude.

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

To succeed in the role, you are an open and positive person who enjoys working in a team. At the same time, you are responsible and have the ability to independently see what needs to be done and take initiative accordingly.

We see that you have a high school education or equivalent experience that is deemed comparable. Good computer skills are a prerequisite for the position.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
