The Adult Unit in Orust is organized as one of three units within social services. In the Adult Unit, in addition to case managers, there are also housing coordinators and social workers in social psychiatry, LSS, harmful use and dependency, as well as domestic violence.

We are a workgroup of a total of 13 employees, including one senior social worker, led by a unit manager.

Orust municipality is currently in an exciting phase of development. The implementation of the new Social Services Act is in full swing, and during the autumn, all employees in IFO have been jointly involved in the development journey, which is still only in its infancy.

Your tasks

As a case manager, you will work with investigations, decisions, and follow-ups of elderly care interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL). You will make assessments for individuals living in regular housing, special housing, and work with discharges from hospitals. You will work closely with nurses, occupational therapists, unit managers, and others in a geographical area. The work involves exercising authority with demands for legal certainty and equal assessments; working as a team with your colleagues will be an important part of this. Collaboration with implementation, inpatient and outpatient care, as well as other adjacent areas of operation, are other fundamental tasks. We work in the operational system Life Care and in SAMSA towards inpatient care.

About you

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education that we assess as equivalent. Experience in exercising authority and knowledge of the IBIC investigation method is an advantage. We prefer that you have good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing.

You have a strong service orientation, a flexible and solution-oriented approach. You have a good ability to collaborate and find it easy to work across organizational boundaries. We expect you to contribute to creating engagement, have a professional approach, and take the initiative to continuously develop yourself and the organization.
