The eye care unit has facilities in both Lund and Malmö with close collaboration between the locations. In addition to meeting the needs of residents in Malmö and Lund for eye care, we also provide regional eye care for Halland, Kronoberg, and Blekinge.

At the eye clinic in Malmö, we treat patients with cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic changes, and age-related changes in the macula. We receive patients of all ages and perform laser treatments, intravitreal injections for various eye conditions, as well as tear duct and eyelid problems. We have about 220 employees within the organization.

The workgroup at the eye clinic in Malmö consists of over 20 competent and experienced staff members from various professional groups, including nursing assistants, nurses, eye nurses, optometrists, photographers, and orthoptists.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer you an exciting job that involves a lot of technology and plenty of patient contact!

Your responsibilities include performing measurements and various eye examinations such as visual field tests, pressure measurements, photography, and angiography of the fundus, as well as vision checks and measuring glasses prescriptions. Telephone advice and work at the eye emergency clinic are also included. You will work closely with ophthalmologists in your role.

The position is based in Malmö with working hours during the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is a requirement for the position. We prefer candidates with an interest in eye care or those who are trained eye nurses. Experience in outpatient work or knowledge of the medical record systems Pasis and Melior is an advantage.

You should have good collaboration skills and appreciate the value of being part of a well-functioning team at work and around the patient.
