Sylvamo, Nymölla Mill is looking for two Automation Technicians

Sylvamo Nymölla Mill is located twenty kilometers east of Kristianstad in Bromölla municipality. The mill produces pulp using the magnefite method and uncoated fine paper. Multicopy is our most well-known product. The production capacity is 340,000 tons of pulp and 475,000 tons of fine paper.

 

We are now looking for two service-oriented technicians for our automation department at Nymölla Mill as two of our skilled employees have moved on to other roles within our company. One focusing on instrumentation/control and regulation technology and one focusing on industrial electrician/automation. We offer you to become part of our automation department, which is responsible for improving and maintaining our process equipment, which includes control systems and measurement and analysis equipment. We are a larger team, with smaller workgroups that collaborate to keep the process equipment current and functional. The department is organized into two main areas: electrical and instrumentation. Depending on your background and interests, you will work on tasks that match your skills in one of these areas.

About the positions In this role, you will have the opportunity to work either at the pulp mill or the paper mill. In the automation department, we are responsible for improving and maintaining our process equipment, which includes switchgear, PLCs, control and drive systems, as well as measurement and analysis equipment, including valves, flow meters, and temperature sensors.

In your daily work, you will troubleshoot our process equipment and electrical installations. The workday mainly consists of planned and scheduled tasks at the mill, but you will also support urgent tasks. Among other things, the work may involve replacing electrical or automation equipment. At a strategic level, you will be involved in our work with continuous improvements according to the LEAN method.

Who are you? We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, meticulous, and remains calm in stressful situations. You need to enjoy working in a team and be able to collaborate with adjacent departments.

You thrive on having many balls in the air and thus have a good ability to prioritize and work in a structured and organized manner. Sometimes it can be a lot to do – then it is important that you remain calm and work methodically. A completed high school diploma in technology, electrical, or automation is required. The role also requires that you enjoy taking responsibility and are willing to make decisions when the situation demands it.

Your skills and experience

-B driver's license

-Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

-We prefer that you have at least 2 years of work experience in the field.

-Experience from the process industry is an advantage.

-Experience with SAP, DCS, and PLC is an advantage.

  

Other The positions are full-time and the working hours are scheduled during the day, on-call duty may occur. We apply a probationary period.
