Property Manager at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and are now looking for more employees. The Property Department has the main task of ensuring the authority's need for premises supply. The Property Management Section South will, in dialogue with relevant operations and regions, identify the property needs that exist and, in collaboration with property owners, ensure that these needs are met. The Property Management Section South is responsible for the unit's property management in the West, East, and South regions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of Property Manager, the head of the Property Management Section South is your immediate supervisor, and you will be part of a team covering the East, West, and South regions. The employment concerns the South region. Your overall tasks are to support the region and operational sites in local and property-related issues and ensure that their leased premises are suitable and support the operations conducted in them.

You are responsible for a geographical area while also being able to receive national assignments related to the Property Department's tasks. Together with your colleagues, immediate supervisor, and the authority's experts, you will work on the development of issues related to property management and premises supply. Your tasks also include participating in the development and updating of a management plan and creating conditions for good collaboration with property owners. You will plan, drive, and follow up on measures, decisions, and plans concerning property management within your area of responsibility. You will also be involved in creating structured processes regarding operations, maintenance, and repairs. The position involves some travel within Sweden.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in a relevant field or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience working with property management-related tasks including technology, law, and economics
• Experience leading others in work
• Experience focusing on collaboration, relationship building, and partnership development
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license B

It is meritorious if you have:

• The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's basic training
• Training as a property manager/certified property manager
• Higher education or vocational training with a focus on property economics with or without law
• Experience in property management within the public sector
• Experience in operational work within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience in local and property projects, ordering work, economics, invoice management, and the establishment of maintenance plans
