We are looking for a vehicle engineer with a mechanical focus for a larger, long-term project in regional rail traffic. You will be part of an experienced technical team that works closely together in an environment where collaboration, responsiveness, and a focus on sustainable solutions are central.

The assignment involves providing technical support and expertise related to the procurement of new rail vehicles. In a complex procurement environment, both a holistic perspective on vehicles and the ability to delve into specific mechanical subsystems are needed to ensure relevant and accurate requirements.

• Contribute technical expertise in rail vehicles with a focus on mechanical systems.
• Support the work of analyzing needs and formulating technical requirements for procurement.
• Review and assess technical documentation related to bids and/or procurement of rail vehicles.
• Ensure that the requirements work at the vehicle level and that mechanical systems and functions interact with the vehicle's operational characteristics.
• Conduct targeted interventions in specific technical areas as needed.

• Technical post-secondary education or equivalent.
• Very good ability to speak, read, and write in Swedish and English.
• Technical generalist in rail vehicles with a focus on mechanical systems, including experience with several mechanical subsystems and understanding of the entire vehicle and how systems affect each other.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience (within the last 15 years) working with various mechanical systems on rail vehicles.
• Experience working with procurement and/or bids for rail vehicles recently (within the last 8 years).
• At least two references from similar assignments completed in the last 6 years, of which at least one is related to complex railway vehicle projects.

• At least 3 years of experience in procurement and/or bids for rail vehicles (within the last 8 years).
• Experience from working both with clients of rail vehicles and with suppliers of rail vehicles.
