Welcome to Simrishamn Municipality!
The municipality where the surroundings add a golden touch to everyday life. Here, you become part of something big. With your approach and commitment, you play a key role in making everyday life better for our citizens. The proximity and smallness are our strengths; they create a familial atmosphere, provide breadth to our assignments, and give you great opportunities for development. We strive to work with trust at all levels of the organization and aim for a meaningful and sustainable work life. Here, you become part of something big, but never just one of many.
As an employee in the planning unit
you will be part of a group of planners, overview planners, land and development specialists, as well as GIS and mapping functions. We are a small, tight-knit group that supports each other and has a friendly atmosphere in a beautiful work environment at Björkegrenska Gården in central Simrishamn.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are in a phase where several larger development projects are concluding, and new projects need to be initiated to contribute to good and sustainable urban development and achieve goals within, among other things, a growing business sector and increased permanent residency. There are significant resources that we want to develop, such as the potential in our inland villages and attractive coastal locations. There are also major challenges related to climate risks and rural areas. We now welcome a driven and initiative-taking colleague who, with a creative approach, will tackle development opportunities with qualitative and sustainable implementation. If you also have a good understanding of the market, knowledge of financing models, and economic project analysis in the short and long term, you will be able to contribute significantly in one of Sweden's perhaps most beautiful municipalities.
The position includes not only development but also follow-up and ongoing tasks of both a technical and economic nature.
You will work closely with land management, planners, and the city architect within the planning unit and with project-leading colleagues in the public environments unit. You will also have contact with external parties such as developers, other authorities, and citizens.
Among the tasks are:
- Budget responsibility for ongoing development projects and follow-up of outcomes.
- Coordinating responsibility for agreements in development projects and coordination with project leaders in the public environments unit.
- Proactive and strategic work with upcoming development projects
- Calculation and forecasting work as well as scheduling
- Ensure the municipality's rights to easements, utility rights, and other property rights
- Decide and apply for property regulation and similar property law issues
- Consultation with land surveying on issues of property formation and community facilities, etc.
- Represent the municipality at co-ownership meetings (road, drainage companies)
- Strategic work with drainage companies
- Project management of development projects such as development agreements, implementation agreements, and land allocation agreements
- Preparation of matters for the political arena
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in engineering, development, urban planning, and/or land surveying. Equivalent work experience may also be of interest.
You have experience in project management within construction or infrastructure and are used to managing many projects simultaneously.
You understand contract and procurement law.
You also have experience in business development where economics, execution, and quality are important parts. We are particularly interested in your economic knowledge and how it contributes to making future projects a reality.
As we are a small workgroup, we highly value that you, just like us, are versatile and enjoy working with a variety of tasks. We are constantly developing our working methods and processes and want you to be involved in that work as well.
We place great importance on your personal qualities and would like you to be driven, initiative-taking, and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You also have a strong focus on relationships and find it easy to create new contacts.
As the tasks are many and varied, you need to have an analytical and structured approach to work.
Experience working in a politically governed organization is an advantage.
Additional qualifications include: CBA, business development, land management, LOU
